Campaign themes
Speidel focused his campaign on funding anti-bullying programs in schools. Speidel said, ""I have a child with special needs and it is my fear that she will be picked on. We hear students all the time on the [Bully Prevention Community] Coalition of students that miss school, they don't' want to go to school. They feel alienated or picked on and that's not going to help them achieve all that they can achieve." Speidel also says he wants to partner with the City Council to work on the future of one of the schools in the district, Bryant Elementary.[3]
