Paul Swanicke was a 2011 Democratic candidate for District 21 of the New Jersey State Senate.

Swanicke is an attorney, and has operated his own law office in Warren, New Jersey since 1996.

Swanicke earned his undergraduate degree from Mount Saint Mary's College in 1973, and his Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in 1977.

Swanicke was defeated in the 2011 election for New Jersey Senate District 21. He ran unopposed in the primary on June 7, 2011. Swanicke was defeated by Republican incumbent Thomas Kean in the general election which took place on November 8, 2011.[1]
