Paul J. deMahy was a judge of the 16th Judicial District, Division B in Louisiana. He was elected in 1986 and retired from the bench at the end of 2017.[1][2]

DeMahy earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and his J.D. from the Paul M. Herbert Law Center at Louisiana State University. DeMahy's experience includes work in private practice, as an assistant defender and chief defender for the 16th Judicial District Indigent Defender Office, and as the city attorney for St. Martinville.[1][2]
