Paula is a community organizer and volunteer that just graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Arts Management from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Paula has dedicated her life to helping others and working to build the community shown most recently through her time working at the Volunteer Center of her alma mater. There, she organized days of service, youth programs, and other events all centered on lending a hand to those in need. Paula decided that after graduation she wasn’t ready to be done helping the place she fell in love with, and is now running to provide a voice to those that are often forgotten. Paula is a team player and a hard worker looking to bring progressive laws to the state and to create a more just system for everyone in the commonwealth!
  • Massachusetts has one of if not the least transparent state governments in the country, I will fight with all my heart to shed light in those chambers!
  • As a young person, a recent college graduate, I have the endless energy needed to remind those in power about those being forgotten
  • As a server of the community and a server of food, I have been on the front lines and have dealt with the same struggles as my of my fellow Northern Berkshire residents, someone with these experiences would bring an invaluable perspective to the statehouse
It is hard to pin down a few policy areas because there are so many issues and most of the are intertwined! With that being said a few things that if elected I will fight for are: transparency in government, without transparency nothing else in the statehouse can get done, so goals of passing other progressive legislation depends on this; municipal resources, the infrastructure of the Northern Berkshires needs help but many of the local governments need help to do something about it, we must enact legislation centered on lowering costs for local governments like public banking and increased grant programs to improve the lives of our commonwealth and to lower the burden on struggling communities; and education, the current education system in Massachusetts is one that many states are envious of but it has a long way to go, we need to offer students the opportunity to pursue their education wether it be pre-k, vocational, college, or others without the fear of life crushing debt.
