Campaign themes

Prentice's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[1]

Represent the Middle Class

  • Excerpt: "I will fight for the rights of workers and support legislation that provides the middle class with jobs and opportunities for success. Middle class families are struggling and it’s time that we got serious about helping them."

Supporter of Small Business

  • Excerpt: "As the daughter of two small business owners, I understand that their needs are unique. These businesses are vital to the success of our district’s economy and they deserve the attention and support of their legislature. As your representative, I will support policies that allow small businesses to thrive."

Advocate for our Community

  • Excerpt: "With 10 years’ experience as Summit County Councilwoman and 30 as an educator, I know the needs of the local community. However, I also know that it is vital to listen to the concerns of those you serve. I will make sure that your voice is heard in our state capital, so that we can address the issues that matter to our community."

Education

  • Excerpt: "As a teacher, I know that strong schools are vital to any successful community. I’ll put the needs of our children first and secure funding to ensure that our schools and teachers are equipped with the tools they need to help our kids succeed."

Bipartisanship

  • Excerpt: "All too often, change is prevented from taking effect in our community by politicians’ unwillingness to break party lines. As your representative, I will lead by example to bring integrity and effective leadership back to our legislature."
