Paulette Sapp-Peterson
Paulette Sapp-Peterson was a judge of the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division. She retired on September 1, 2014.[1][2] On September 1, 2015, Sapp-Peterson was recalled for temporary service within the judicial system for two years.[3]
She was appointed to the Appellate Division on March 1, 2006.[4]
Education
Sapp-Peterson obtained a B.A. from Douglass College and a J.D. from Rutgers School of Law at Camden.[4][5]
Career
Sapp-Peterson began her career as a deputy attorney general. She then worked as a special assistant on the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans' Affairs. She joined the New Jersey Air National Guard in 1980 as a Staff Judge Advocate and served in this capacity until 1994. During this time, she also worked as a municipal court judge from 1981 until 1989, when she was appointed to the Superior Court. She served on the Superior Court from November 9, 1989 to September 1, 2014.[4][5]
