Pedro A. Colón is a judge for District I of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. He assumed office on November 19, 2023. His current term ends on July 31, 2030.
Colón ran for re-election for the District I judge of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. He won in the general election on April 2, 2024.
Biography
Education
Colón received his undergraduate degree from Marquette University in 1991 and his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1994.[1]
Career
From 1999 to 2010, Colón served as a Democratic member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing District 8. He resigned as a legislator in order to take his judicial seat on the Milwaukee County Circuit Court.[2][3] Colón also worked as an attorney in private practice from 1994 until he became a judge in 2010.[2]

The primary election was canceled. Incumbent Pedro A. Colón advanced from the primary for Milwaukee County Circuit Court Branch 18.
2017
Wisconsin held local judicial elections in 2017. Forty-eight circuit court seats were up for election on April 4, 2017. Three seats required primaries on February 21, 2017, with the top two vote recipients for each seat advancing to the April 4 general election. Thirty-seven seats up for election in 2017 were unopposed.[4] Incumbent Pedro Colón ran unopposed in the general election for the Branch 18 seat on the Milwaukee County Circuit Court.

2011
Colón was elected to the Milwaukee County Circuit Court in the general election on April 5, 2011. He won 36% of the vote in the primary election, advancing him to the general election. He then defeated Christopher R. Lipscomb in the general election, winning 59% of the vote.[5][6][7]

Endorsements
Colón received endorsements from three of the Wisconsin Supreme Court justices: David T. Prosser, Patience Roggensack and N. Patrick Crooks. Said Colón: "I am honored to have the endorsement of these distinguished jurists. Justices Prosser, Roggensack and Crooks all have tremendous experience with the law. With their support, I look forward to continuing to serve the people of Milwaukee County."[2]
2008
On November 4, 2008, Colon won re-election to Assembly District 8, receiving 98.26% of the vote.[8]
