Peirson Hall
Peirson Mitchell Hall (1894-1979) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of California and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
Hall was nominated to the Southern District of California by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt on February 17, 1942, to a seat vacated by George Cosgrave; he was confirmed by the Senate on June 30, 1942, and received commission on July 3, 1942. From 1959-1964, he served as the chief judge. He served the Southern District of California until he was assigned to the Central District of California on September 18, 1966. He assumed senior status on September 30, 1968. He served the Central District of California until his death on December 8, 1979. Hall was succeeded in this position by David Williams.
