Pensions, Investments and Benefits Committee, Kansas State Legislature
The Pensions, Investments and Benefits Joint Committee is a standing committee of the Kansas State Legislature.
Joint committees of the Kansas State Legislature are made up of members from the Kansas House of Representatives and the Kansas State Senate. According to the Kansas Legislative Research Department, joint conference committees usually include three members each from the House and Senate. Regarding joint statutory committees, the membership, appointment process, and duties are defined by the statute establishing the committee.[1]

“ | ...shall be composed of five senators and eight members of the house of representatives. The five senate members shall be the chairperson of the standing committee on ways and means of the senate, or a member of such committee appointed by the chairperson, two members appointed by the president and two members appointed by the minority leader.
