A Perry Township Police Levy Renewal measure was on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the township of Perry which is in Lake County.

This measure sought to renew the current police levy which is set at a rate of $.29 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for maintenance costs of the fire department costs in the township.[2]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

A renewal tax for the benefit of Perry Township for the purpose of providing and maintaining a fire department, and the payment of permanent, part-time, or volunteer firefighters, including the payment of the firefighter employers contribution required under section 742.34 of the Revised Code, or the purchase of ambulance equipment or the provision of ambulance, paramedic, or other emergency medical services at a rate not exceeding 2.9 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to 29 cents for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3]
