An election to recall State Senator Pete von Reichbauer was held in Washington in 1981. Voters retained von Reichbauer.[1]
Recall supporters
The recall effort was initiated after von Reichbauer changed his party affiliation from Democratic to Republican. When von Reichbauer changed parties, control of the chamber shifted from a 25-24 Democratic majority to a 25-24 Republican majority.[2]
