Incumbent Gerald Edward "Gerry" Connolly was the only candidate to file for the Democratic primary for U.S. House Virginia District 11. Therefore, the Democratic primary scheduled for June 12, 2018, was canceled.[1]

Jeffery Anthony "Jeff" Dove Jr. was the only candidate to file for the Republican primary for U.S. House Virginia District 11. Therefore, the Republican primary scheduled for June 12, 2018, was canceled.[1]
