Peter Carlisle
Peter Carlisle was a candidate for the mayor of Honolulu in Hawaii. He was defeated in the primary election on August 13, 2016. Carlisle previously served as the mayor of Honolulu from 2010 to 2012.[1]
Biography
Carlisle received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1974 and a J.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1977. was Honolulu's prosecuting attorney from 1997 to 2010. He won a special election in 2010 to succeed Mufi Hannemann as mayor of the city. In his bid for re-election in 2012, he took third in the primary behind Ben Cayetano and Kirk Caldwell. After leaving office in 2012, he became a partner at the law firm O’Connor Playdon & Guben.[1][2]
