Peter Goldsmith is a magistrate judge of the Third District of Iowa. He was appointed to this position in 2009 and serves Crawford County.[1]
Education
Goldsmith received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Iowa in 1977 and 1980, respectively.[1]
Career
Goldsmith worked for the Wheatley R. Wollesen Law Firm in Washington, D.C. at the beginning of his career. He then moved to Missouri and worked for the Wheatley R. Ranquit Law Firm in Annapolis until 1993, when he joined the Boerner & Goldsmith Law Firm, P.C. He earned the Community Service Award for District 3B from the Iowa Supreme Court in both 2004 and 2008.[1]
