I am an American/Dutch Engineer living in Richardson, Texas who wants to bring a young voice to Texas politics. I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and minor in Entrepreneurship. One of my passions is visiting our nation’s National Parks. Over the past few years, I’ve been lucky enough to explore 33 U.S. National Parks. I developed my love of the outdoors as an Eagle Scout. I’ve been camping and hiking in many of Texas’ beautiful park lands, and always try to spend as much time as possible in nature.
  • I am pro choice, pro sex education, and pro inclusive birth control. Texas recently passed a regressive bill on reproductive rights of Texas citizens. I marched with my fiancée in downtown Dallas on October 2nd, but would love the opportunity to effect change in a more concrete way. Beyond abortion law, I also think too much burden of reproductive health is on the shoulders of birthing people. I would love to raise awareness and support clinical trials of birth control to block sperm production so people have more options beyond hormonal birth control.
  • Infrastructure improvements are much needed in Texas. I wrote research papers in college about high efficiency transmission lines, renewables, and nuclear power as solutions to our outdated grid. I’ve worked in the HVAC industry, electronics industry and was here for the freeze last year. This is a very important topic for me and I’d love to work on getting our grid back in shape. Beyond the grid, infrastructure improvements such as public transport between the major cities, accessible recycling and composting for those in shared living spaces, and caps on rent increases for tenants in good standing.
  • I care deeply about nature and our environment. My campaign is focused on working to preserve and expand on the Texas parks system. I grew up appreciating the outdoors and have had the privilege of visiting 34 of our nation’s National Parks and countless within Texas. I cannot stress enough how important it is for future generations to have the same opportunity to visit and explore these beautiful parks.
I’m passionate about reproductive rights, environmental conservation, workers rights and improved accessibility in the state of Texas.
