Peter J. McNiff was the chief judge for the United States bankruptcy court, District of Wyoming. He was appointed in 1994 and reappointed for an additional 14-year term in 2008. Judge McNiff retired from the bench on February 28, 2015.[1][2][3]

Education

McNiff earned a Bachelor of Science and a J.D. from the University of Wyoming.[4]

Career

Prior to joining the bench, McNiff worked for the State of Wyoming from 1967 to 1978. He then transitioned his legal career to a private practice firm, where he focused on bankruptcy-related matters from 1978 until 1994.[2]
