Peter S. Kent is a former Democratic member of the Maine House of Representatives, representing District 65 from 2008 to 2014.
Biography
Kent earned his B.A. in English Literature from Acadia University. His professional experience includes owning a contrusction and contracting business.[1]

The signature filing deadline for party candidates wishing to run in this election was March 17, 2014. The deadline for write-in candidates to run in the primary election was April 28, 2014, and the deadline for non-party candidates to run in the general election was June 2, 2014. The deadline for write-in candidates to run in the general election was September 22, 2014. District 65 incumbent Peter Kent was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Jeffrey Pierce was unopposed in the Republican primary. Kent was defeated by Pierce in the general election.[2][3][4][5]

Kent won re-election in the 2012 election for Maine House of Representatives District 65. Kent ran unopposed in the June 12 Democratic primary and defeated Jason Warnke (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[6][7]
