Peter F. Martin (b. May 3, 1941) is a former Democratic member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives, representing District 75 from 2008 to January 6, 2015.

Biography

Martin earned his B.A. from Providence College in 1964 and his M.B.A. from Bryant College in 1977. His professional experience includes working as a web site developer, a real estate investor and a software application and product marketing consultant.[1]

Elections for the Rhode Island House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on September 9, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 25, 2014. Lauren Carson defeated incumbent Peter Martin in the Democratic primary. Gregory Larson was removed from the ballot before the primary. Carson was unchallenged in the general election.[2][3][4]

Martin won re-election in the 2012 election for Rhode Island House of Representatives District 75. Martin was unopposed in the September 11 Democratic primary and was unopposed in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[5][6][7]

Martin won re-election to the 75th District seat in 2010. He was unopposed in September 14 Democratic primary and defeated Republican Patrick Donovan in the general election on November 2, 2010.[8][9]

In 2008, Martin was elected to Rhode Island House District 75. Martin (D) finished with 2,823 votes while his opponent Steven Coaty (R) finished with 2,336 votes.[10] Martin raised $12,393 for his campaign fund.[11]
