Peter Micciche
Peter Micciche (Republican Party) was a member of the Alaska State Senate, representing District O. He assumed office on January 15, 2013. He left office on January 17, 2023.
Micciche (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Alaska State Senate to represent District D. He did not appear on the ballot for the primary on August 16, 2022.
Micciche served as state Senate majority leader from 2017 to 2018. On January 19, 2021, Republicans elected Micciche state Senate president.[1]
On May 25, 2022, Micciche announced that he would not seek re-election to the Alaska State Senate.[2]
Biography
Peter Micciche was born in Valley Stream, New York. He earned a bachelor's degree in business from Alaska Pacific University. Micciche’s career experience includes working as an LNG/NG facility superintendent, as well as a commercial fisherman and small business owner. He served on the board of the Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward, Alaska, which describes itself as, “Alaska’s premier public aquarium and Alaska's only permanent marine mammal rehabilitation facility.”[3][4]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 2, 2014. Incumbent Peter A. Micciche was unopposed in the Republican primary and defeated Eric D.
