Peter Murphy (b. July 15, 1949) is a former Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 28 from 2007 to 2015. Murphy did not seek re-election in 2014.

Biography

Murphy's professional experience includes serving as Southern Maryland Field Representative for U.S. Senator Paul S. Sarbanes, working as Director of Mediation Services, Circuit Court of Prince George's County, owning a private meditation practice, and serving Director of Murphy & Milano, Incorporated.

On November 7, 2006, Peter Murphy ran for District 28 of the Maryland House of Delegates, winning the third of three seats, losing to Sally Jameson and Murray Levy but beating William Mayer and James Crawford.[2]
