Peter Rubin
Peter J. Rubin is an associate justice on the Massachusetts Appeals Court, the intermediate appellate court for the state of Massachusetts. He was appointed by Governor Deval Patrick and took office on January 15, 2008.[1]
Education
Rubin is a graduate of Yale College and Harvard Law School.[1]
Career
Rubin began his legal career as a law clerk for Judge Collins J. Seitz of the United States Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit. He then clerked for Justice David H. Souter of the United States Supreme Court. He was an appellate litigator, of counsel to the law firm O'Melveny and Myers, LLP, and a law professor at the Georgetown University Law Center before his appointment to the Massachusetts Appeals Court. He has also written extensively about constitutional law matters.[1]
