Peter Sikora
Peter M. Sikora was a judge on the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court Juvenile Division in Ohio.[1] He served from 1989 to 2012; Sikora passed away unexpectedly in April 2012.[2]
In addition to serving on the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas, Sikora unsuccessfully ran for the Ohio Supreme Court three times, in 1996, 2006 and 2008.
Education
Sikora received his undergraduate degree from Baldwin-Wallace College and his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.[3]

Elections
2012
Sikora ran for a seat on the Eighth District Court of Appeals. He was defeated in the Democratic primary on March 6, receiving 25.13% of the vote.[4][5]

2010 election
Sikora ran for re-election to the Court of Common Pleas. He defeated opponent Almeta Ann Johnson in the Democratic primary. He was re-elected after running unopposed in the general election.[7]
2008 election
In 2008, Sikora ran for a seat on the Ohio Supreme Court, challenging incumbent Justice Evelyn Stratton. On November 4, Justice Stratton received 2,443,112 (63%) votes to defeat Sikora, who received 1,424,786 votes (37%).[8]
Rejects Endorsement
Sikora rejected the endorsement of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce for his 2008 Supreme Court bid. The rejection was owing primarily to the Chamber's opposition to paid sick-leave.[9]
