Varney (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the New Hampshire House of Representatives to represent Belknap 7. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Peter Varney's career experience includes owning ATS Applied Technical Services and working as an emergency management director. Varney has served as the chief of the New Durham Fire Department.[1]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 13, 2014. Deborah Chase and Hammond Brown were unopposed in the Democratic primary, while David Russell and Peter Varney defeated Joel Lambert, Mike Metcalfe and Gerald Theodora in the Republican primary. Chase, Brown, Russell and Varney all faced off in the general election.[6] The two Republicans, Russell and Varney, were victorious over the two Democrats, Chase and Brown, in the general election.[7]
