Peter Wirth (Democratic Party) is a member of the New Mexico State Senate, representing District 25. He assumed office in 2009. His current term ends on December 31, 2028.

Biography

Wirth earned his B.A. in economics and Spanish from Stanford University in 1984 and his J.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 1990. His professional experience includes working as a law clerk for the Honorable Oliver Seth of the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals from 1990 to 1992, and as a lawyer for the following law firms: Catron, Catron and Sawtell from 1992 to 1994, Panagakos and Wirth, Professional Corporation, from 1995 to 2000, the Wirth Law Firm from 2000 to 2003, and Sawtell Wirth and Biedscheid, Professional Corporation.
