Three of the seven seats on the Pflugerville Independent School District board of trustees were up for general election on May 7, 2016. Place 3 incumbent Mario Acosta was defeated by challenger Renae Mitchell, while Place 4 incumbent Vernagene Mott defeated Matt Robertson. Place 5 incumbent Carol Fletcher won re-election without opposition.[1]

The Pflugerville ISD Board of Trustees is composed of seven members who are elected at large to three-year terms. All voters in the school district are eligible to vote for every seat up for election. Three seats were scheduled for general election on May 7, 2016. Candidates running for the school board had to be a United States citizen, a resident of Texas for at least 12 months, and a resident of the district for at least six months. Candidates also had to be 18 years of age or older and registered to vote.[1]

2015Mary Kimmins won election without opposition. Incumbent Cynthia Graves won re-election without opposition. 2014The district canceled the board member election since they had only two candidates who ran unopposed. Incumbent Rob Reyes and former Pflugerville principal Larry Bradley won the seats by default.[4] Voters approved a $287 million bond proposal that addressed district growth, safety and security and campus parity across the district.[5] |
