I am Phil Black, born and raised Idahoan who loves this state and want to keep it a great place to live, raise kids, and work. Been married for 22 years to the love of my life Tarah and we have 3 kids.
  • As a taxpayer, I do not want anymore tax increases, work with the money already allocated to us.
  • Honor the traditions and history of Meridian, this is a great place to live.
  • Want to help keep Idaho a place where people want to live and help keep it awesome.
Low taxes and low regulations and are the two largest things I care about, I want people to live their lives and be left alone.
I looked up to my maternal grandpa, he was a police officer and gunsmith when I was growing up and I wanted to be around him all the time. As he got older and got to the end of his life he was a strong Christian and loved his family so much and, so he is most certainly a person I want to be like. My dad was similar too prior to his passing, love his wife, kids, and grandkids so much and as he got closer to passing away got closer to Jesus.
Financial Stewardship, governance and oversight, legal and ethical compliance, public service and communication.
A Christian who was a great loving husband, great father, good friend and loved my life.
Space Shuttle Challenger disaster in 1986, I was 4 and I remember it being on the tv.
Worked for a foodservice company and had that job for 6 years.
Bible, because it's more relevant today than ever before.
James Bond, getting to use cool cars and gadgets would be awesome.
JD Vance's story of his upbringing and how he's now the vice president of the United States is utterly amazing.
Being a great husband and raising awesome kids!
