Philip Bergen Swing
Philip Bergen Swing (1820-1882) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
He was nominated by President Ulysses Grant on March 29, 1871. He was confirmed by the Senate on March 30, 1871, and received commission that same day. He served until his death on October 31, 1882.[1] Swing was succeeded in this position by George Read Sage.
