Campaign themes

2014

Drucker's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[1]

Economic Prosperity

  • Excerpt: "We need to be attentive to all persons at all levels of the economy. We have to have in place policies and programs that aid both employers and employees. Workers and entrepreneurs. Large, medium and small businesses in the public and private sector. When all have a chance to prosper, EVERYONE prospers."

Education

  • Excerpt: "We need to have in place policies and programs that are responsive to the educational needs of life-time learners. Education is the single best investment we can make to help insure the growth and prosperity of our nation."

Energy Independence

  • Excerpt: " We need to transition to the next generation of clean, renewable, cheap and reliable energy. In the 28th District we have access to sun, wind and geothermal energy. Let’s make the 28th District the Silicon Valley of renewable energy. Let’s make the 28th District into a modern hub for training and employment in a new energy economy and let’s do it now."

The Salton Sea

  • Excerpt: "The sea bed consists of a mix of mostly salt and toxins. It will eventually become airborne and become a health hazard to both the environment and residents of the 28th District. If we do nothing, this is the natural course of events. The time for debate is over. No more studies. We need to act and we need to act now."
