Philip Howard is an at-large member of the Newburgh Enlarged City School District Board of Education in New York. He was first elected to the board in May 2012.[1]
Howard ran for re-election in the general election on May 19, 2015.[2] He successfully won another term on the board.[3]
Biography
Howard has lived in Newburgh his entire life, and he graduated from the Newburgh Enlarged City School District. He has an adult son who also graduated from the district.[4]

Three of the nine at-large seats on the Newburgh Enlarged City School District Board of Education were up for general election on May 19, 2015. Voters could vote for all three seats in the election on a joint ballot. The three candidates who received the most votes were considered elected to the board.
The seats held by incumbents Edward Lawson, Philip Howard and Pamela Freeman-Resch were on the ballot. Lawson did not file to run for re-election, which left Howard and Freeman-Resch to face three challengers: Joseph J. Minuta, Gregory Phillips and Debra E. Zambito. Howard, Minuta and Zambito were elected to the board.
