Phil MacRuari grew up in West Babylon and is raising his 11 year old daughter in the same neighborhood he grew up in. Phil is a true independent who wants POSITIVE CHANGE for South Shore Long Islanders. The only candidate to offer DIRECT DEMOCRACY to their voters. This gives EACH RESIDENT a chance to HAVE DIRECT INFLUENCE IN WASHINGTON. Phil MacRuari has answers and wants to be the voice for the voiceless 2nd District residents on the important issues:

Education: Remove State and Federal interference in local schools. Abolishing the Regents exams and other unnecessary testing.

Mental Health: Bringing those who suffer out of the shadows and providing feasible solutions to the crises of ISOLATION, ADDICTION, LONELINESS, DEPRESSION, ANXIETY and OVER-MEDICATION.

Health Care: Health Care should be free, available, and liberated of the influences greed and corruption who make money off of human suffering.

Monthly Bills: Attacking the greed of PSE&G, Verizon, the LIRR, Optimum and whoever else is ripping off working class Long Islanders.

  • I will offer Direct Democracy to my constituents - YOU decide how I vote in Congress
  • We're in an Addiction, Anxiety, and Depression Crisis. I can point to the root cause (greed) and offer emperically-based solutions that could save countless lives.
  • We need bold action now, the time for playing nice is over. Put a fighter in the House of Representatives
We've let the two major parties sell us out to the highest bidders all over the world. They sent our jobs overseas, destroyed our environment, sentenced our children to a world where they dread the future rather than look forward.

I believe in a different kind of American exceptionalism. I believe that we have the potential to be the greatest, most righteous civilization that planet Earth has ever seen, but its going to take a mindful, compassionate, and determined force to get us there. It is time for action, to stop the niceties and fight for what's right.
Other than raking leaves and shoveling driveways, I worked bussing tables for a caterer when I was 14. My first on-the-books job was at Genovese on Sunrise Highway in West Babylon.
It is (supposed to be) the most democratic of the three branches of government.
Absolutely not. Not in 2020, its a sign you have been morally
compromised.
BRING 'EM ON! TOTAL SUPPORTY!
I represent no party. I only represent the South Shore of Long Island. Home to many, many independent minded constituents.
I work with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families. I see the effects of corrupt policies in the realm of mental health and education. I'm working to create a YouTube channel where these parents can share their stories, and we can talk about what we can do as citizens to create a better world for our children.

The root cause is always the same: Greed & Corruption
