The seat was vacant following Michael Shaw's (D) resignation on August 21, 2015.[3]
Lester Ordway (R) defeated Lynn Olson (D), Philip Pomerleau (I), Michael Wakefield (Green-Independent) and Christopher N. Finley (write-in) in the special election.[1][4]]]
