Phillip Whiteaker
Phillip Whiteaker was a judge for District 1 Position 2 of the Arkansas Court of Appeals. He assumed office in 2013. He left office on December 31, 2022.
Whiteaker was elected to fill the vacant seat for District 1, Position 2 in 2012. He won re-election to the court of appeals in 2014.[1][2]
On April 28, 2021, Whiteaker announced he would not seek re-election in 2022 to his Arkansas Court of Appeals seat.[3]
Biography
Education
Whiteaker received his bachelor's degree from Ouachita Baptist University, and his J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law.[4]
Career
Before his election to the Court of Appeals, Whiteaker served as a circuit judge for the Circuit Court of Lonoke County, Arkansas for 16 years.[4]

Whiteaker was elected to District 1, Position 2 on the Arkansas Court of Appeals. This position was formerly held by Judge Raymond Abramson.[5]
Whiteaker competed against Richard Lusby and Jeannette Robertson in the election on May 22, 2012. He was the top vote-getter, receiving 38.09% of the vote. He defeated Jeannette Robertson in the runoff election on November 6, earning 53.78% of the vote.[1][6]
