Pierce City School District Bond Measure (April 2011)
A Pierce City School District Bond Measure was on the April 5, 2011 ballot in the Pierce City school district area which is in Lawrence County.
This measure was approved[1]
This measure sought to issue a bond in order to help pay for a new middle school and vocational-agriculture building in the district. The old middle school building, with cracks in the ceiling and shifting foundation had led to need of a new building. The third floor of the facility was too dangerous and is now off limits. This was the fourth time the school district asked for this bond money.[2]
