I am a conservative Republican. I am a chiropractic physician by profession, and I am in support of a limited government. I feel that Capitalism is the best form of government. The principles of my campaign include freedom, freewill, private entrepreneurship, and supporting our capitalistic way of life. The government's response to the coronavirus pandemic was a complete blunder. I want to focus us lowering taxes on our small businesses and promoting our freedoms.
I am passionate about supporting our medical freedom. It was completely outrageous that our government mandated vaccinations for so many millions of Americans. We had to choose to get vaccinated or lose our job or professions. A government that is big enough to give you everything is big enough to take everything away from you. We need to protect our freedoms in this country.
For elected officials, I feel it is really important for to do what you say. For example, if an elected official says that they will support police; then they don't; that is an issue. The goal for an elected official is: whatever they campaign on; this is what they should focus on while they are in office.
I feel that hard work, consistency, determination, and being solution orientated are important qualities that define me. I am a conservative republican. This is never going to change. It is going to take consistency in mindset to achieve my political goals.
I went to a small school in West Virginia for my middle and high school education. It had a relatively large campus. The summers of my middle school were spent on a maintenance crew for the school. I had this job for 2 summers. The crew and I did whatever was necessary for the school. Some of the work that we did include cleaning out classrooms, painting, cleaning floors, or mowing grass.
The last song that got stuck in my head was, "Don't Blink" by Kenny Chesney.
The ideal relationship between governor and state legislature is just a working one. Sometimes the news or other media outlets create drama and division. However, at the end of the day, government should make life easier for people not harder. We as a state legislature need to work with our governor for the good of the people.
We need to control our Southern border. I feel that there is something that is really going to be bad for this country if we can't do that. I know that President Trump is a very divisive person; but if our state and country cannot control its borders; then we cease to exist as a nation. We have to know who is coming into our country. This is an issue now; and I hope this is not an issue ten years from now.
We need to make sure we have enough water and sustainable water to handle our population growth.
Yes, I believe that compromise is necessary and also desirable for policymaking. I would like to be part of a legislative body that is solution oriented. We can, as a legislative body, truly make a difference for our citizens that we represent. We can make a difference by helping our police and public safety officers. We can make a difference by lowering taxes, we can make a difference by promoting affordable housing. We need to be willing to work with one another. There is more that unites us than divides us.
