What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
Combating the opioid crisis, preventing Massachusetts from becoming a Sanctuary State, and pushing for more local aid to fund town services and provide property tax relief.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Massachusetts Democrats have been pushing legislation to make Massachusetts a Sanctuary State for illegal immigrants. I will be doing everything I can to prevent this from happening, including voting NO on the bill when it's refiled in January. Our district has felt the negative impacts of a Sanctuary City right down the street from us, Lawrence. The working relationship between local and federal law enforcement must continue in order to make our communities safer to live, work, and raise a family.
Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?
My mom. She's a strong woman who instilled in me the values I live my life by. Family is very important to me. I grew up in a traditional Italian household. And as someone who is getting married at the end of 2019 and planning to start a family of my own, I will apply those values to being a wife, a mom and a State Representative.
Is there a particular legislator, past or present, whom you want to model yourself after?
Representative Geoff Diehl, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate against Elizabeth Warren. Geoff is a family man, small business owner, with the proven track record of fighting on behalf of the taxpayers. Geoff Diehl is an elected official who truly works for the people.
