A Plant City City Commission Vacancy Amendment question is on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Hillsborough County, which is in Florida, where it was approved.
This question amended the Plant City Charter to establish that if there is a vacancy in the City Commission and there is less than 15 months of the term remaining an eligible person shall be appointed by the City Commission to fill the vacancy for the remainder of the term.[1]

“ | Shall Section 11, Article II of the City Charter be amended to provide that if a vacancy occurs on the City Commission (except as a result of a recall election) and there is less than 15 months of the term remaining, the City Commission shall appoint an eligible person to serve on the City Commission for the remainder of the term?[1][2] | ” |
