There was a Plaquemines Parish Sales Tax Increase on the November 14 ballot in Plaquemines Parish.

The measure asked for a 1 percent increase in parish wide sales taxes, making it 8 percent. The measure passed.

The money generated from this extra 1 percent will go towards the parish fire department.[1]
