Platte County Hospital District Mill Levy, 2009

A Platte County Hospital District Mill Levy was on the August 18, 2009 ballot in Platte County for county voters.

The measure proposes implementing a 3 mill levy to raise new revenue for Platte County Memorial Nursing Home. The levy was approved.[1]

  • Yes: 912 (68.21%)Approveda
  • No: 425 (31.79%)

Funds generated from the levy will be used towards continued operation and maintenance of the existing nursing home, Platte County Memorial Nursing Home. County officials estimate that the new levy will generate approximately $400,000 a year. The total mills for the district, since it was approved, will be 6 mills instead of the current 3 mills.[2]
