Efforts in Plymouth Township, Michigan, to recall Supervisor Richard Reaume, Clerk Nancy Conzelman, Treasurer Ron Edwards and Trustee Kay Arnold were initiated in October 2014.[1]
Supervisor Richard Reaume also filed recall petitions against Trustees Michael Kelly, Bob Doroshewitz, and Chuck Curmi. Reaume stated that he had no intention to follow through with collecting signatures, however. Reaume's goal was not to recall those three trustees. Rather, he's attempted to point out what he viewed as loose recall election laws. He did not believe recall should be accessible unless the official was accused of illegal or unethical behavior or fiduciary lapses.[1]
Reume resigned before the recall petition against him moved forward.[2] As of December 2015, this recall effort appeared to be abandoned and Ballotpedia discontinued active coverage. Please contact us if new developments occur with this recall effort.
Recall supporters
Sandy Groth led the campaign against Supervisor Richard Reaume, Clerk Nancy Conzelman, Treasurer Ron Edwards and Trustee Kay Arnold.[1]
Supporters of the recalls, who were opposed to the township officials, cited unfavorable budgeting and feelings of disrespect as reasons for the recalls.[3]

Clerk Nancy Conzelman, Treasurer Ron Edwards and Trustee Kay Arnold appealed the recall petitions. A court hearing was set for November 21, 2014.[1]
Proponents were cleared to start collecting signatures on December 5, 2014, and they had a 60-day window to gather the signatures. The petitions, however, stayed valid for 180 days.[1] Petitioners needed to collect about 3,200 signatures for each individual they were trying to recall.[4]
Reame's recalls against Kelly and Doroshewitz were approved, but the petition against Curmi was rejected on clarity grounds.[1]
