Police accused of ignoring judges in Michigan
March 2, 2010
Michigan: The Michigan State Police Department stands accused of willfully ignoring judicial orders in the state remove certain individuals from the state sex offender registry. The charge comes after several judges across the state have issued rulings similar to those issued by the Michigan Court of Appeals where they ordered that Robert DiPiazza be removed from the registry. DiPiazza was placed on the registry after being found guilty at age 18 of consensual sex with his 15 year old girlfriend who is now his wife.[1]
