My parents have played an irreplaceable role in my life. My parents have provided encouragement, support and been my biggest cheerleaders though out my career and personal life. They encouraged my spiritual journey and allowed me to grow in my own path. My parents were also there to correct me when needed and tell me how my decision may affect me later in life. No matter the decision I made, the words I love you always followed not only in words but also in actions.

It was always a special time when the TV was rolled into our classroom. We were watching the space shuttle Challenger launch on live television with a females teacher. I remember being very excited because I hadn't ever seen a launch and a female was aboard. I remember her waving and her bright smile as she walked in the shuttle. When Challenger burst into flames, I remember thinking how can I keep everyone around me safe.
As an adult I still focus on the safety and well-being of others.
