A Portsmouth City Residency Requirement Change measure was going to be on the November 2, 2010 ballot in the city of Portsmouth which is in Scioto County but was never officially added to the ballot.
This measure sought to change the residency requirement to run for office from the current 6 years to one year. Though the new time in which someone should live in the city before being to run for a city office was not yet decided, most neighboring cities have a year as the requirement.[1]
