Powhatan Ellis
Powhatan Ellis (1790-1863) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Mississippi.
He was nominated by President Andrew Jackson on July 13, 1832. He was confirmed by the Senate on July 14, 1832, and received commission that same day. He resigned on January 5, 1836.
