I'm a community organizer, mutual aid giver, public servant, and human rights activist running for U.S Congress in New York’s 8th District, which encompasses the Brooklyn and Queens communities. I’m running for New York’s Eighth Congressional District to fight for racial, social, and economic justice for all everyday people.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York by my mother, a working-class single woman who relied on government assistance to make ends meet. We lived in a public housing development in a low-income, high-crime area. I received my education through New York’s public school system and earned my bachelor's degree in economics from CUNY Brooklyn College.

Currently, I’m the Co-Founder and Vice President of a nonprofit whose mission is to eradicate suffering by providing support and services to those who are in need.
  • I’m running because I have lived the front-line struggles and will work to create policies that protect all everyday people.
  • Our system is broken. Crime in Brooklyn and Queens are on the rise. Developers continue to gentrify the neighborhoods we call home and are working to dismantle the spirit of our district. It’s time for NY-08 to have a representative who will fight tirelessly for all residents. I look forward to representing the great people of NY-08.
  • As we begin to emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, I will fight to protect and put the people of Brooklyn and Queens first. I will work to rebuild and restore our community by putting forth housing initiatives, prioritizing job creation in NYC, and proposing debt forgiveness for residential, commercial, and medical expenses incurred during the pandemic.

I look up to Martin Luther King Jr. he was a civil rights legend . Martin Luther King Jr. led the movement to end segregation and counter prejudice in the United States through the means of peaceful protest. He created movements and delivered powerful speeches.
The core responsibilities for someone elected into office are to, prioritize the needs of the everyday people.
I would like to leave the legacy of a representative who created movements while serving and protecting all everyday people. A representative that prioritized the needs of the people, pushed the Black Agenda, and built people power.
The first historical event that happened in my lifetime was 9/11 . I was nine years old at the time.
My very first job I had was working at McDonalds. I had that job for 3 years.
Absolutely not , I don’t believe representatives has to have previous experience in government or politics.
I believe the United States greatest challenges as a nation over the next decade are climate change, energy, poverty and food security.

Yes , during the pandemic I partnered with Bed-Stuy Strong a mutual aid network in my community. I met a woman , who was a diabetic and just got laid off from her job during the pandemic. She had several health issues, and her healthcare coverage was terminated due to being laid off from her job. She went on to tell me about the flyer she had to make asking her neighbors to donate to her Gofundme , so she can afford her insulin to live. That was a touching , and memorable time for me.
