I am a dual service veteran of the Marine Corps and Navy. A business owner and founder of a nonprofit. I grew up in Atlanta, GA the son of a Christian pastor. I have had the unique opportunity to live in different communities throughout my travels and I understand that The People are the most important factor in a community. Throughout my professional life I have helped people realize their best self, and I plan to take that energy to our community. I believe that we are stronger as a community when we work together.
  • Each of us in the community has the right to be a leader/representative of the community. It is time for change on our County Commission. We need new ideas and a fresh perspective to our community.
  • In order for us to thrive as a community we have to have balanced growth. Nothing stays the same. Fayette County is a beautiful community with several gems that can be improved with the help of our residents. It is my intention to foster restored connection and a stronger bond to help our community remain the example to the rest of Georgia.
  • Our children need us now more than ever. I believe that our kids deserve every opportunity that their parents and grandparents were given to build good stewards of the community. We must make our youth the priority.
Infrastructure, education, economic development, community revitalization
I don’t really have any one that I “Look Up To” but I do have admiration for several prominent people. The person whose example I try to follow most is my father. I didn’t realize how much of an impact he had on our community until he passed away. His kindness and willingness to help people is a trait that I am grateful to have gained from him.
My favorite book is The Four Agreements. This is a book that I read annually to keep myself accountable.
It is important that our elected officials know how to listen and connect with the community. Honesty and transparency are key in leadership. It is essential that our community leadership continue to develop future leaders.
I have always possessed the ability to connect with people. I took the Clifton Strengths Finder some years ago and Connector, adaptability, and Includer were my three main strengths. How fitting!
The County Commission serves as a liaison between State and local municipalities. The Commission helps bring economic development, zoning, and care to the community. The Commission is also responsible for the budget for county organizations such as the school board and other public services. The County Commission helps set the tone for the for current and future endeavors.
I would like to be remembered as a kind person who could always be depended on. Titles and material things have never been a concern of mine. Having a positive impact is the ultimate privilege of life.
My very first job was mowing lawns in my neighborhood at 12 years old. I continued this from age 12-18. I also worked at Six Flags over Georgia from 15-18 years old. At 18 I joined the military.
Mindset by Carol Dewick has to be my favorite besides The Four Agreements. Having a growth mindset can change the world in front of you.
Oh good Lord! So many choices because I LOVE music. For today “I smile” by Kirk Franklin
I’ve often found that I care too much sometimes which can lead to heartache and disappointment. I have learned to stay more in the moment and take lessons better.
What do you get when you cross a brown chicken and a brown cow?
A government of the People and by the People means that this is OUR Government. Transparency is a must if we want to gain the trust of the community.
