While attending the University of Central Arkansas and later the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law, Quincy worked construction to support his growing family, gaining appreciation for the challenges many Arkansas families face.
Quincy and his wife, Amy, have been married 27 years and have raised their seven children in Faulkner County.
For 17 years, Quincy has practiced law at McKinney & McKinney, PLLC, representing clients in family law, adoptions, custody, divorce, juvenile, probate, DHS, criminal matters, civil litigation, and jury trials. He has seen firsthand the impact judicial decisions have on individuals and families.
He has served as president of Milestones / Faulkner County Day School, a nonprofit serving individuals with developmental disabilities; was a founding board member of STOP DV, which supports victims of domestic violence; and was appointed by Governor Asa Hutchinson to the Arkansas Public Defender Commission.
He believes courts require steady judgment, fairness, and respect for the Constitution and the rule of law.- Quincy believes a judge’s highest duty is to uphold the Constitution. He believes courts must exercise restraint, never legislate from the bench, and remain faithful to the framework established by our nation’s Founding Fathers — a system designed to limit government power and preserve liberty through separation of powers and the rule of law. The integrity of the judicial system depends on judges who understand that their authority is defined and constrained by the Constitution. Judges must remain independent and impartial, free from political pressure or personal bias.
- Quincy believes justice requires both firmness and compassion. Through 17 and a half years of courtroom experience, he has seen how deeply court decisions affect families and communities. He is committed to treating every person who enters the courtroom with dignity, while ensuring the law is applied fairly and consistently.
- Quincy’s commitment to justice extends beyond private practice. His leadership with Milestones / Faulkner County Day School, service as a founding board member of STOP DV, and appointment by Governor Asa Hutchinson to the Arkansas Public Defender Commission reflect his belief that justice must both protect the vulnerable and uphold constitutional safeguards. His service demonstrates a steady commitment to integrity, balance, and public responsibility.
