Oetjens ran for election to the 19th Judicial District.
Primary: He was defeated in the primary on November 4, 2014, receiving 1.6 percent of the vote. He competed against Cleveland Coon, Mike Davis (Louisiana), Beau Higginbotham, and Jamie Morain Zanovec. [1][2]

Education

Oetjens received his undergraduate degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and his J.D. degree from Louisiana State University.[3]
