R. David Fahey
R. David Fahey was a judge of District 8B of Iowa. He was appointed district judge of this court in 1983. He retired on November 16, 2006 and assumed senior status. On October 9, 2012, he died unexpectedly while vacationing in Paris.[1][2][3]
Biography and Education
Fahey was born in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. He received his bachelor's and law degrees from the University of Notre Dame in 1972 and 1975, respectively. He was married and had two children.[1]
Career
Fahey worked as an assistant Lee County attorney and as a faculty advisor at the National Judicial College. He was appointed to the 8th District Court as an associate judge in 1981. He was then promoted to district judge in 1983.[1]
