R. Thomas Stinnett

R. Thomas Stinnett was a bankruptcy judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Eastern District of Tennessee. Judge Stinnett was appointed on May 4, 1994, and retired on Jan 3, 2010. Judge Stinnett died on August 23, 2016, at the age of 72.[1] He was succeeded on the bench by Judge Shelley Rucker.[2]

Education

Stimmett earned both his B.S. and his J.D. from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.[3]

Career

R. Thomas Stinnett was first appointed as a bankruptcy judge on May 4, 1994. Before his appointment as a bankruptcy judge, he practiced law in Knoxville, Tennessee, with Stone and Hinds law firm.[1]
