Elections
2015
The Pittsylvania County school board is a seven-member board elected by district to staggered four-year terms. The seats of Chatham-Blairs District incumbent W. Wayne Robertson, Staunton River District incumbent Don Moon, Tunstall District incumbent Morris Stowe, and Westover District incumbent R. Todd Sanders were up for election.[2]
The only contested race saw board member Robertson lose to challenger J.S. Burton. That race was a rematch of the 2011 election in which Robertson had ousted Burton from the board. Incumbents Moon and Sanders ran unopposed and won re-election to their seats. Newcomer George Vence Henderson also ran unopposed for the Tunstall District seat vacated by Stowe.
